Gujarat’s contribution will be instrumental in strengthening relationship between India-Canada: Mr.Stephen Harper

The Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Stephen Harper, has written a letter to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and extended well-wishes for the glowing success of Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit (VGGIS) -2013. Canada is also a country partner to VGGIS-2013.

Expressing his desire to strengthen and expand the relationship with India Mr.Harper said that Gujarat has created an opportunity through VGGIS to strengthen the trade ties and relationship between the people of two nations.

Describing Gujarat as the best progressive and industrial state in India which is also blessed with globally-acknowledged entrepreneurial skill of its people, Canadian Prime Minister said that Canada holds Gujarat as its important partner. Gujarat has a strategic benefit of its geographic location. Gujarat also has a credible economy besides multilingual manpower. Canada has opened up a trade office, which will be instrumental in creating more business opportunities between the people of Gujarat and Canada, he said.

On behalf of Canadian government Mr.Stephen Harper thanked Mr.Modi for his contribution in strengthening relationship between Canada and India.
