Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed massive election rallies in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki and Kaushambi. Addressing the public meeting he said, “Development of people of Uttar Pradesh gives speed to development of India. The ability of the people of UP enhances the ability of the people of India. But for several decades in UP, the dynasty-oriented governments did not do justice to the ability of UP.”

“These elections are essential not only for the development of UP but also for the country. UP might be a total of 7% of the country, in terms of area. But if you look at its population then it comprises over 16% of India's population,” he added.

PM Modi thanked people for not falling into the trap of the rival parties over the coronavirus vaccine and said his government did not sit idle when the pandemic struck the country. He said, “This is the corona vaccine due to which today students are able to go to schools and colleges. Businesses are coming back on track and that's why UP is saying – ‘Aayegi Toh BJP Hi, Aayenge Toh Yogi Hi’.”

Hitting out at opposition, PM Modi remarked, “Dynasts want the poor to be always at their feet and keep revolving around them. We care for the poor and we are working to address their troubles. That is why, today the poor of UP is standing with BJP and is blessing BJP in all phases.”

PM Modi spotlighted true women empowerment in UP through government schemes. He iterated, “We have not only increased the participation of daughters in the police, but we are expanding the participation of daughters in paramilitary forces like CRPF, BSF and also in the army. Today, daughters are giving security to the country and society by becoming commandos.”

PM Modi said, "In just five years, under the Yogi government, around 20,000 women were inducted into the Uttar Pradesh Police department. In earlier governments, there were only 11,000 women personnel in the department."

Also, PM Modi spoke about triple talaq during a rally in Barabanki. He hit out at the Opposition, asking, "Why didn't you understand the pain of Muslim sisters' then? Why were you not worried about them?" He lashed out at the Opposition over triple talaq and said, "You can only see the ballot box, not the lives of people.”

PM Modi spoke about the several developmental schemes. He said, “We have built toilets in homes and schools, gave gas connections, electricity-water connections and direct help of thousands of rupees during pregnancy. In UP, we have built lakhs of houses under PM Awas Yojana, most of them are in the name of women only. We did every such work with all our heart and with full dedication.”

Highlighting the welfare work done for the small farmers’, PM Modi said, “Our government is also working keeping in mind the needs of small farmers. Crores of such small farmers are being helped by PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. More than 5 lakh such farmers of Barabanki have got the benefit of this scheme. And can you guess how much money we have transferred alone to the bank accounts of farmers in Barabanki? It is 800 crore rupees.”

During the rally, PM Modi asserted, “The BJP government is working on a permanent solution to the problems of sugarcane farmers. Now, we have not only improved the health of sugar mills but also emphasized ethanol generation from sugarcane. That is, when sugarcane is produced in more quantity, then it should not be wasted, ethanol should be made out of it. The money that is being received from the sale of ethanol is benefiting the sugar mills as well as the sugarcane farmers.”

“Livestock is an integral part of our agriculture. For the prosperity of livestock, our government is running a campaign to vaccinate them at a cost of Rs 13,000 crore. It will help to save animals from Foot and Mouth Disease. Our government has also started Gobardhan Yojana,” he added.

In Kaushmabi, PM Modi questioned the silence of the Opposition over the court verdict in the Ahmedabad blasts case and accused the previous SP government of trying to withdraw cases against those involved in terror attacks in Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that the previous government wasn't in favour of prosecuting terrorists and banning terror organisations.

“The Parivarvadi groups looted the poor's ration but the BJP ended their game...We brought in 'One Nation, One Ration Card'. Now people of Kaushambi can use their ration cards anywhere in the country,” said PM Modi.

Honouring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's immeasurable efforts in uniting the nation, PM Modi said, “If anyone did the important job of strengthening the nation after independence, it was Sardar Patel. We have built the world's tallest statue in honour of Sardar Patel. Statue of Unity gives the message of unity, solidarity to every countryman. People from all over the country and abroad come to see the statue of Sardar Saheb. But it is sad to see that these Parivarvadis do not have time to see the Statue of Unity. These people have a lot of time to travel abroad, but they have problems with Sardar Patel.”

Lashing out at Samajwadi Party over a viral video, PM Modi shared, “Yesterday I was watching a video of Kaushambi. How these ‘Parivarvadis’ insulted Dalits, it was clearly visible in the video. These people did not accept the statue of Lord Gautam Buddha. But grabbed the silver crown and wore it immediately as shown in the video. These people can never do welfare of the poor on this land of Gautam Buddha.”

PM Modi requested all the voters to vote for the BJP in the upcoming phases as Assembly elections is underway in Uttar Pradesh.
