Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Dalada Maligawa Temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. He offered floral prayers in sanctum of the temple. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena accompanied the PM during the visit. Prime Minister Modi announced gifting of 16000 candles as a special present by people of India to people of Sri Lanka. He also unveiled plaque for Faculty of Kandyan Dancing in Kandy.
