Narendra Modi presented with English translation of late Shri MKK Nair’s book ‘The Autobiography of a Bureaucrat’

On Wednesday 18th December 2013 Shri Narendra Modi was presented with a copy of the English translation of former IAS officer Shri MKK Nair’s book ‘The Autobiography of the Bureaucrat. ‘ The book was presented to Shri Modi by Smt. Meena Das Narayan, who has translated the book. Smt. Meena Das Narayan is the niece of late Shri MKK Nair an has been working on the translation of the book since 2009.

The book captures the life of late Shri MKK Nair including his work in the IAS with leaders such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Kamraj and eminent civil servants such as Shri VP Menon. The foreword of the book has been penned by Dr. Subramanian Swamy and former Maharashtra governor Dr. PC Alexander has written a note for the book.

The translator of the book and late Shri Nair’s niece, Smt. Meena Das Narayan is a writer, filmmaker and publisher of the luxury magazine Gulf Connoisseur.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
