"Shri Narendra Modi addresses karyakartas on BJP’s Foundation Day"
"We have one strategy and one strength - that is the BJP Karyakarta. No one can compete with us on this: Shri Modi to Karyakartas"
"This is summer time and you all are still out there among the people, at the polling booths: Shri Modi to Karyakartas"
"It is the polling booth that is the biggest fort in a democracy. We have to win at the polling booth level: Shri Modi to Karyakartas"
"Every citizen of India wants change. There is an optimistic atmosphere, and we need to take this to the EVM: Shri Modi to Karyakartas"
"About 50 days are left, and we have to reach every home, touch every heart and every mind: Shri Modi"
"Mission not ambition is our driving force. We are not here to defeat anyone but to win hearts of people: Shri Modi"
"At heart I am a man of the Party organisation. I have DNA of a booth level worker who is reaching out to people: Shri Modi"

An appreciation for their relentless efforts and an appeal to work towards ensuring victory at the booth level was given by Shri Narendra Modi during his address to the karyakartas on the occasion of Vijay Sankalp Diwas, on 6th April. The day, which marked the celebration of BJP’s Foundation Day, had Shri Modi speaking to party workers across the country via video conferencing and motivating them for the upcoming elections. The day also witnessed the pan-India mobilization of party workers whereby they reached out to the voter households in their area.

Reinstating that the BJP was the only party driven by the Organisation (Sangathan), Shri Modi called upon the karyakartas to put forth utmost devotion in ensuring maximum voting turnout. Shri Modi spoke of how winning the polling booth was the most effective way of ensuring the party’s victory, and affirmed, “Some people say we need so many seats. These dreams are good, but the beginning is made in the polling booth. It is the polling booth that is the biggest fort in a democracy. We have to win at the polling booth level. In every polling booth, 700 votes are cast on an average. We should try to get over 400 votes out of that. If we can win the polling booth then we will always win.”

Asserting that the Nation was yearning for a change, Shri Modi urged the karyakartas to take forward this optimism for bringing the change right upto the polling booth level. “There may be a Lotus is someone's mind, heart and mouth but till the time the finger doesn’t touch the EVM, our task is not complete,” said Shri Modi. He urged the supporters to recall the mantra of ‘Charaiveti’ (keep going) and work towards ensuring the victory for BJP.

He appealed to the karyakartas to continue to stretch the extra mile to ensure victory. “About 50 days are left, and we have to reach every home, touch every heart and every mind. Mission not ambition is our driving force. We are not here to defeat anyone but to win the hearts of the people. When victory is certain that is when hard work is needed the most. Those who feel that the others are sleeping cannot win their polling booth. We have to think that we can win every booth, not that we have won every booth. We can win, not we have won...and run those extra miles,” said Shri Modi.

Stating that the BJP did not believe in fighting the elections by spending massive amounts of money or doing propaganda via media, like the other parties did, Shri Modi affirmed that the biggest strength for the Party was its karyakarta. Applauding the efforts of each karyakarta in campaigning for the party, Shri Modi said that this potency of his supporters encouraged him to keep going across the country and campaign for a better government. Shri Modi acknowledged the non-stop work and relentless efforts of the karykartas, and said that he too took pride in being a man of the Party Organisation (Sangathan), and was equally proud of having been a booth level worker in his early days. He recalled to the karyakartas the Party’s focus on people’s welfare and said, “Victory is certain. We have created a trust in the hearts and minds of the people. We have to devote ourselves to people.”

Recalling the formation of the BJP in 1980, Shri Modi acknowledged the pioneering contribution of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shri L K Advani, Shri Kushabhau Thakre, and Shri Bhandari, and said, “In 1975 the Emergency was imposed. Atal ji, Advani ji and George Fernandes were arrested and an anti-Congress vent had developed. And even though the Jan Sangh joined Janata Party and the government was formed under Morarji Bhai, it didn’t last due to the conspiracies by Congress. But, finally we took our own path and the BJP was formed. Atal ji said- Andhera Chatega, Suraj Niklega Aur Kamal Khilega.”

Shri Modi also cited yet another pioneering attempt by the BJP – the first of its kind in the history of any democratic country – whereby he will speak to the people of India using the 3D technique, and encouraged the supporters to ensure maximum turnout for the address. This way, Shri Modi will address more than 1000 rallies across the country.
