Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today asked Non-Resident Gujaratis (NRGs) to spread the message of Gujarat's unique identity, strengths and its achievements in different fields around the globe.

In an interactive session with NRGs, who arrived here from different parts of India and abroad on the eve of Gujarat's Golden Jubilee celebration, Shri Modi wished the Gujaratis settled all over the world would carry the message reflecting the states' fifty years' march to progress through appropriate functions at different forums at their respective places throughout the year. The symbolic ‘swarna kalash' or the golden pitcher on the occasion reflects the state's golden past and future.

He said how Gujarat lacked major mineral resources and made marks. It does not produce any coal and yet is number one in the field of energy. He attributed the state's success to each and every Gujarati and subsequent governments. It as much belongs to Gujaratis settled outside the state, too.

Shri Modi also outlined the details of Mahatma Mandir under construction at Gandhinagar with ‘kalash abhishek' with water brought from different sources.

Tourism Minister Jaynarayan Vyas made the introductory remarks and Chief Secretary A.K. Joti proposed a vote of thanks. Prominent among thoe who attended the function included Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala, jubilee celebration committee chairman I. K. Jadeja, principal secretary P.N. Roy Chowdhary and director-general D Kishore rao.

Under Rozgar Mela, PM to distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on 23rd December at around 10:30 AM through video conferencing. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. It will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their participation in nation building and self empowerment.

Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place for various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, among others.
