Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, while dedicating Induchacha Flyover near Jashoda nagar today, reiterated State’s commitment to provide Pucca-houses to the urban poor. Coming true to the aspirations of the poor-people, State has implemented a special housing scheme under which Dwelling-units are to be constructed on the slums, on Public Private Partnership Mode. Necessary survey will be conducted in slum areas within the stipulated time-frame.

Golden Jubilee gift to the citizens of Ahmedabad, Induchacha Flyover is constructed at the cost of Rs. 22 Crores by A.M.C. The bridge is named after Shri Indulal Yagnik, who dedicated his life to Maha Gujarat Movement. Befitting tributes to the great leader on the special occasion, when Gujarat is celebrating her golden-jubilee. Shri Modijee had laid stone for the flyover in Sept- 2008.

It is likely to ease traffic congestion; CM observed that the success of B.R.T.S is a good sign; public transport system is growing its acceptance among people He listed out State’s priority providing amenities in the urban areas. Considering the fast paced development of Ahmedabad, State has laid great emphasis on urban infrastructure. Referring to the conspiracy under which Western World is not leaving a single opportunity to retard India’s development on behest of Climate-Change. America is applying undue pressure and Congress remains mute spectator. CM regretted the helplessness of Union Government. Central Government does not view the issue of price-rise as a crisis. Union Government has totally failed in curbing prices, added CM.

CM gave the blue print of Green-Ahmedabad- in the eastern parts of the city; the 20 K.M long canals would solve the problems of Kharicut-canal. It is heartening to note that 3 Metros of Gujarat has found place among the first 25 Metros of India.

Shri Modijee regretted the environment of Political Untouchability, which remains the legacy of Congress Rule. Present Government has adopted a resolution to recognise the contribution of great leaders, however, they subscribe to different ideology or party, they are respectable for us, and they inspire us.
