Gujarat Government’s uplifting initiative to fight malnutrition in schools

Gujarat Government to launch a state wide movement to fight malnutrition. The government has decided to provide fortified wheat flour in primary schools. This movement will be initiated on 25th September, on the birthday of Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay.

44 lac primary school children will be covered under this scheme. This wheat flour will contain nine micro nutrients and vitamins. The purpose behind this movement is to root out malnutrition among the children.

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch the statewide movement from Gandhinagar and the leader of opposition Shri L K Advani will initiate the movement from Somnath. At District headquarters, other ministers and Parliament secretary will participate in the movement.

Gujarat is the first state to introduce food-fortification scheme in PPP model. This mandate was received in 2007. Shri Narendra Modi is focusing on brining significant improvement on HDI movements.

Under Rozgar Mela, PM to distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on 23rd December at around 10:30 AM through video conferencing. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. It will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their participation in nation building and self empowerment.

Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place for various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, among others.
