During his Kutch visit, Chief Minister Narendra Modi today joined the New Year celebrations of Kutchi people. Speaking to the people, Chief Minister exuded faith that Narmada water will reach every corner of Kutch and that the region’s glory will spread across the world in the New Year.

In a programme organized by Leuva Patidar Samaj Kanya Kelavani Mandal in Rapar region, Chief Minister inaugurated newly-built buildings of the organization and unveiled a statue of Sardar Patel. This organization is located in Vagad area of Kutch and is involved in girl child education related activities since past 31 years. Chief Minister felicitated the associates of this organization who contributed greatly for the cause of girl child education.

Chief Minister said the past governments, till the 50 years of independence, had utterly neglected the field of primary education. The present government launched a massive campaign for school enrollment and girl child education. The state government appointed 1.25 lakh new teachers and built 80,000 new classrooms.

“Nobody would have held us accountable, had we continue working same way as past governments. But we had concerns for miserable state of education. And so, we focused on this field”, he said adding that state government is committed to extending education to all poor children.

Mr. Modi said the money in Gandhinagar exchequer is of people and the state government will not let any ‘hand’ to siphon it off. The state government is vigil about this money and using every penny of it for development.

On the occasion, a cheque of Rs.2.51 lakh was donated to Chief Minister’s Kanya Kelavani Nidhi.

MLA and district BJP President Jyantibhai Bhanushali, District panchayat president Trikambhai Chhanga, Chairman of Bhachau Development Authority Vaghaji Patel, Director of S.T Corporation Arjanbhai Rabari, Bhachau Taluka Panchayat President Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, leaders and people in large number were present on the occasion.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage.
