BJP declares list of candidates for 2nd phase of 2012 Gujarat polls

8 women candidates, 7 from SC community and 11 from ST community in the list

On the evening on Wednesday 28th November 2012 the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) declared the list of candidates for the second phase of the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha Elections 2012. This announcement was made after the meeting of the party’s Central Election Committee.

A total of 89 candidates were announced out of which there are 8 women candidates, 7 from the SC community and 11 from the ST community.

The second phase covers North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, large parts of Ahmedabad.

Earlier on 22nd November, the BJP had declared candidates for the seats going to the polls during the 1st phase.
