The leaders of BRICS countries, met in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 17th BRICS Summit. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the BRICS spirit of mutual respect and understanding, sovereign equality, solidarity, democracy, openness, inclusiveness, collaboration and consensus. They strongly condemned terrorism and welcomed the inclusion of new countries as BRICS partner countries.
