وزیر اعظم مودی نے یوگانڈا کی پارلیمنٹ سے خطاب کیا۔ کسی بھارتی وزیر اعظم کا یہ پہلا خطاب تھا۔ اپنی تقریر میں وزیر اعظم نے افریقہ کے ساتھ گہرے تعلقات کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یوگانڈا اس براعظم کے تئیں بھارتی عہد بندگی میں مرکزی حیثیت کا حامل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ، ’’بھارت کے لئے تحریک آزادی کے اخلاقی اصول صرف بھارت کی سرحدوں تک ہی محدود نہیں تھے۔ آزادی، وقار، مساوات اور ہر انسان کے لئے مواقع ایک آفاقی تلاش تھی۔ اس کا اطلاق افریقہ سے زیادہ کہیں اور نہیں ہوتا۔‘‘PM Modi’s address at Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Shree Kutchi Leva Patel Samaj in Nairobi
