A delegation of Young Indians under the auspices of Confederation of Indian Industries, comprising mainly of young entrepreneurs, today met Chief Minister Narendra Modi. Delegation sought detailed information on state government’s method for good governance. About 14 members of the delegation is on a three day tour to the state and already studied the functioning of IIM-A, NID, Amul India, Tata Motors and Textile Industry of Gujarat.
Chief Minister acquainted them about his thoughts on Gujarat’s continuously achieving 9-plus percent agricultural growth rate, krishi mahotsav’s role in agricultural success, Jyotigram scheme, Surat’s rapid development as a textile city, water conservation efforts and state’s approach of taking people’s participation in bringing growth, which the delegation called as unique.
While outlining the state’s success in cooperative model, chief minister said that it has not remain limited to dairy industry but also extended to cooperative farming and cooperative gas distribution. He said that the government has directed its focus on solar and wind energy and is going to set up world’s largest solar energy park in the state, which will make Gujarat a solar energy capital.
