Addressing his first ever public meeting after the historic mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party and the National Democratic Alliance, Shri Modi thanked the people of Vadodara for electing him with a record margin. He said that despite having addressed only one rally in Vadodara the people reposed their faith in him and elected him with such a large margin. Shri Modi described the verdict of the people across India as a verdict to take the nation forward and work hard for the dreams of the people.

Shri Narendra Modi congratulated all those who have won today and said that together everyone will take the nation ahead. “We have to take everyone together to run the nation,” affirmed Shri Modi. He opined that in a democracy it is natural for political rivalry but there is no question of enmity with anybody.

Talking about his determination to serve the people of India for the next 60 months Shri Modi said, “I am your Mazdoor Number 1. In the coming 60 months I will dedicate every moment of my time in service of the people of India.”

Commenting on the specialty of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections Shri Modi pointed, “In the history of India it is for the first time that a Party other than the Congress has secured a majority on its own. I am proud that we are a patriotic Party that has fought the Congress and is committed to India’s development.” On a different note, Shri Modi said that this is the first time the Parties were being led by leaders who are born after 1947. “We never had the chance to die for the nation but we have the chance to live for the nation and live for Surajya,” Shri Modi stated.

Shri Modi thanked the people of Varanasi and pointed that Varanasi has voted for the silence of Narendra Modi, referring to his inability to address the people of Varanasi. He described what happened in Varanasi as a first in a democracy, where a candidate was not allowed to speak to people.

On a lighter note, Shri Modi remarked how he videos on social media of saw little children chanting ‘Ab Ki Baar, Modi Sarkaar’, saying that this is an indication that a large number of BJP supporters are already ready!

Referring to the unparalleled success in Gujarat, Shri Modi recalled that when BJP talked about 26 out of 26 seats some people mocked them but this has now become a reality. He saluted the efforts of all BJP Karyakartas across India who worked tirelessly for BJP’s victory.

The top leadership of the Gujarat BJP and local Vadodara Unit were present on the occasion.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State. A National Seminar or Conclave led by prominent experts and distinguished professionals across various domains will also be conducted.
