Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met President Barack Obama today in Washington DC. Both the leaders held extensive talks on enhancing cooperation in various sectors like business, technology and governance etc.

PM emphasized the tremendous growth India has achieved and mentioned that India is today the fastest growing economy in the world. PM said that India and US will work together for world's peace and security. PM thanked the US President for the help and support with regard to membership in MTCR and NSG.

Various global issues were also discussed at the meeting. PM Modi remarked that India and the US have been cooperating on global issues such as nuclear security, global warming and terrorism.

Highlighting the demographic dividend of India PM said, “India is a young nation. India and the US can work together to use this talent and youth power for the welfare of world.”
