Zeliang, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Janata Dal (United) leader, Shri Sharad Yadav, Samajwadi Party leader, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, CPI (M) leader Shri Sitaram Yechury, BSP leader Kumari Mayawati, Nationalist Congress Party leader Shri Sharad Pawar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Ms. J.Jayalalithaa, West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, DMK leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri M.Karunanidhi, Janata Dal (Secular) leader Shri HD Deve Gowda and Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, on this occasion.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. Shri Modi also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

In a X post, the Prime Minister said;

“Distressed by the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured have a speedy recovery. The authorities are assisting all those who have been affected by this stampede.”
