While addressing joint press statement with French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "India and France enjoy deep-rooted ties. Our nations have been working together for a very long time, bilaterally & multilaterally."

He added that be it trade and technology, innovation and investment, energy, education and enterprise, both the countries wanted to give a boost the ties. The Prime Minister repeated, "We want to improve the cultural relations between India and France. Several Indians fought in the first two world wars for world peace."
