ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ రోజు సురేంద్రనగర్ జిల్లా లో చోటిలా లో ఓ బహిరంగ సభను ఉద్దేశించి ప్రసంగించారు. రాజ్ కోట్ లో ఒక గ్రీన్ ఫీల్డ్ ఏర్ పోర్ట్ నిర్మాణానికి, అహమదాబాద్-రాజ్ కోట్ జాతీయ రహదారిని ఆరు దోవలుగా విస్తరించడానికి, రాజ్ కోట్-మోర్ బీ స్టేట్ హైవే ను నాలుగు దోవలుగా విస్తరించడానికి సంబంధించి శంకుస్థాపనలు చేశారు. ఆయన ఒక పూర్తి ఆటోమేటిక్ మిల్క్ ప్రాసెసింగ్‌ & ప్యాకేజింగ్ ప్లాంటును మ‌రియు సురేంద్రనగర్ లోని జోరావర్‌న‌గ‌ర్ ఇంకా ర‌త‌న్‌పుర్ ప్రాంతాల‌కు త్రాగునీటిని స‌ర‌ఫ‌రా చేసే గొట్ట‌పు మార్గాన్ని కూడా ప్రజలకు అంకితం చేశారు.
సురేంద్రనగర్ జిల్లా లో ఒక విమానాశ్రయాన్ని ఊహించడం కూడా కష్టతరమని ప్రధాన మంత్రి అన్నారు. ఆ తరహా అభివృద్ధి పనులు పౌరులను శక్తిమంతం చేస్తాయని ఆయన చెప్పారు.
విమానయానం సంపన్న వర్గాలకు చెందింది అయివుండకూడదని ఆయన అన్నారు. మేం విమానయానాన్ని భరించగలిగే ఖర్చు కలిగినదిగా చేశాం, అంతే కాక ప్రత్యేక అధికారాలు తక్కువగా కలిగిన వర్గాల వారి చెంతకు చేర్చామని కూడా ఆయన వివరించారు.
అభివృద్ధి తాలూకు నిర్వచనం మారిందని ప్రధాన మంత్రి చెప్పారు. చేతి పంపులను అభివృద్ధి కి సంకేతంగా ఎంచిన రోజుల నుండి, సామాన్య పౌరుల మేలు కోసం ప్రస్తుతం నర్మద నది జలాలను తీసుకురావడం జరిగింది. నర్మద నది జలాల నుండి సురేంద్రనగర్ జిల్లా ఎంతో ప్రయోజనం పొందేందుకు వీలు ఉందని ఆయన అన్నారు. నీటిని బాధ్యతాయుతంగా ఉపయోగించుకోండని, ప్రతి ఒక్క నీటి చుక్కను సంరక్షించుకోవాలని ప్రజలకు ఆయన విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. సుర్ సాగర్ డెయిరీ ప్రజలకు బోలెడంత మేలు చేస్తుందని ప్రధాన మంత్రి అన్నారు. రహదారులను మెరుగైనవిగాను, సురక్షితమైనవిగాను తీర్చిదిద్దేందుకు పూర్వ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేశుభాయ్ పటేల్ ఏ విధంగా శ్రమించారో కూడా ప్రధాన మంత్రి గుర్తుచేశారు.
