Congress isn’t proud of the soldiers’ sacrifice along the border, it has demeaned the surgical strikes: PM Modi

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting at Ajmer in Rajasthan. Speaking at the event, PM Modi said, “I am Prime Minister for the nation, but I am also a devoted Karyakarta for the BJP. So wherever I am invited, even if at a booth level meeting, I will be present.”

Lambasting at the Congress party, the PM remarked that the BJP worked for the benefit and development of all. "On one side there is the politics of vote-bank, and on the other side, you have a government which works with the belief of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas," he said. The PM added, "While others believe in breaking and dividing society, we believe in uniting society and working with all, for the benefit of all."

Shri Modi appreciated the efforts of the State Government in providing electricity to several households and to ensure that more people get access to electricity. He said, “Those who are yet to get electricity, the Rajasthan Government and the Centre are working for them.”

PM Modi pointed out that in a healthy democracy, a strong opposition was needed. He added, “But, we had a set of people who not only failed in government for 60 long years, but also had failed as an opposition.”

PM Narendra Modi also hit out at the Congress for mocking the Indian Army. The PM said, “There would be no Indian who would not be proud of our Jawans and the Surgical Strike they conducted. But look at Congress. They even mocked our Jawans.”

"We tell them, let us debate on the work done by you and compare it to the work done by us. But they run away from any such discussion. All they are interested in is in telling lies, creating doubt and fear," PM Modi said while addressing a public rally in Ajmer.

Listing out the achievements of his government, PM Modi said, “We are committed to ensure welfare of women and mothers who are working. That is why we have decided to give 26 weeks maternity leave to them. Even the richest countries in the world did not do this.” PM Modi also talked about farmer welfare measures like MSP and development projects which will supply water to different parts of the state.

Union ministers Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shri Prakash Javadekar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Smt. Vasundara Raje and other BJP leaders and Karyakartas were present at the occasion.
