Campaigning in Delhi for the elections on Sunday, February 1, 2015, the Prime Minister spoke about need of a stable and responsible Government in Delhi. Referring to the BJP’s efforts on solving the water issue the PM said, “Congress government in Haryana and Delhi played their people against each other. This was their culture. BJP moved towards solving issues.” Shri Narendra Modi said that as soon as BJP government came to power at Centre and in Haryana, all problems of water shortage were addressed and resolved.

The PM said that every other party in Delhi are in a mood of competition of what the biggest lie to tell the people is going to be. “On one side there are false promises and lies. I don't think there have ever been so much lies in polls as there is this time,” said the Prime Minister.

Shri Narendra Modi noted that Delhi needs a responsible government that has people who have worked on the ground. The PM said, “To be in Government is a serious responsibility. It is about understanding the pains of the common man. Running away does not help.” Shri Modi made it clear that a government which does Andolans day in and day out are never interested in solutions.

The PM assumed that to develop India, all-round development is needed. Only one area's development would not help the entire Nation. Shri Modi highlighted numerous steps and initiatives that are being taken by the Government. He also promised to authorise the colonies. “One side there were unauthorised colonies and other side unauthorised promises. We took the decision to authorise them,” he said.
