PM attends meeting of Somnath Trust

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today attended a meeting of the Somnath Trust in New Delhi, in his capacity as a trustee.

The meeting was also attended by Shri Keshubhai Patel - Chairman of the Trust, and the other trustees - Shri LK Advani, Shri PK Lahiri, Shri Harshvardhan Neotia and Shri JD Parmar.

The meeting condoled the passing away of Shri Prassanvadan Mehta, who was also a trustee.

The trustees discussed ways and means to make the Somnath complex even more attractive for tourists. They discussed the town infrastructure, keeping in view the increase in the number of tourists. Ongoing projects of the Trust were also discussed.

The trustees nominated Shri Keshubhai Patel as Chairman of the Trust for one more year.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today interacted with some of the people involved in the building the Chenab Rail Bridge. Shri Modi praised their unwavering commitment to building modern infrastructure for the nation.

The Prime Minister posted on X;

"Interacted with some of the people involved in building the Chenab Rail Bridge. They belong to different parts of India and are unwavering in their resolve to build modern infrastructure for their fellow Indians. They shared their experiences, including working in some very challenging times. They also shared how their families are very proud of the work they have done!"
