Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two mega rallies in Bihar’s Sasaram and Aurangabad districts on October 9th. During both the campaigns, the Prime Minister made it clear that Bihar sought development and it was only BJP led NDA Government that could fulfil the aspirations of the people in the State. He took a dig at the JD (U)-RJD-Congress alliance and termed it as the ‘Mahaswarthbandhan.’

While addressing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched attack on the JD (U)-RJD-Congress alliance. For the past sixty years, the PM noted, that they did nothing to develop the state of Bihar. Shri Narendra Modi urged the voters to question such rulers who instead of thinking about the people of Bihar thought only about their political gains. The voters, Shri Narendra Modi added further, have made up their mind to punish those who ruled and ruined Bihar.

PM Modi said that such rulers were responsible for dividing the state on the grounds of caste and vote-bank politics. He also noted the increasing crime rates in Bihar and expressed serious concern towards the situation.

Shri Narendra Modi challenged RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to tell the people of Bihar that why was he not able to contest polls in the state elections this time. Attacking Shri Nitish Kumar and JD (U), the PM said, “There is one leader whose arrogance has cost him dear. He did the sin of insulting the child of a Dalit. A Dalit was betrayed by him.”

Shri Narendra Modi asserted that what Bihar sought was development, employment of youth and 24/7 power supply. “Few people asked for votes saying that they will provide electricity in every village of Bihar and said if they don’t fulfil promises, they won’t ask for votes in 2015 but still they are contesting elections”, added the PM.

Shri Narendra Modi said that Bihar can no longer tolerate ‘Jungle Raj’ and needed ‘Vikas Raj.’ He laid out the NDA Government’s development agenda for Bihar in the upcoming elections. He also cited various aspects of the Central Government’s package of 1.65 lakh crores for the development of Bihar. Prime Minister Modi highlighted how Central Government’s policies and schemes like the ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’ and ‘Mudra Bank’ were transforming the lives of poor in the state. He said that the NDA Government was committed to free the poor from the vicious circle of ‘sahukars’ (moneylenders) and empower them.

Shri Narendra Modi urged the people to elect BJP led NDA Government with 2/3rd majority in the upcoming elections for progress of Bihar. Various party leaders and karyakartas were present during the rallies.
