It is now time that India is freed from corruption and black money: PM Modi

Addressing a huge gathering at Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that development of the nation is a priority for NDA Government. He said that the Centre would undertake all possible measures for progress of Uttar Pradesh.

“When poverty is eliminated from a state like Uttar Pradesh, along with other big states, the impact will be huge”, the Prime Minister said.

Shri Modi remarked, “Development ensures welfare for all. Development means ensuring homes for all, proper supply of electricity and water. It ensures good health and education facilities.” He noted how for seventy long years over eighteen thousand villages across the country did not even have power supply. “We have undertaken electrification of villages in mission mode. We have electrified around one thousand such villages in Uttar Pradesh itself”, he said.

Prime Minister Modi said that people are his high command. He said, “Announcements have been made by many governments but BJP led NDA Government is devoted towards executing schemes with accountability. Whenever and wherever BJP has got a chance to serve, our leaders have followed the path of development.”

PM Narendra Modi said that it is now time that India is freed from corruption and black money. He said he will continue his fight against graft and urged the countrymen to join the movement.

Shri Modi alleged that a few people who are dishonest can't go to banks now so they are lining outside homes of poor and trying to mislead them.

Several party workers and Union Ministers were present at the occasion.

India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. Rising from humble origins, he rose to become a respected economist. He served in various government positions as well, including as Finance Minister, leaving a strong imprint on our economic policy over the years. His interventions in Parliament were also insightful. As our Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve people’s lives.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji and I interacted regularly when he was PM and I was the CM of Gujarat. We would have extensive deliberations on various subjects relating to governance. His wisdom and humility were always visible.

In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the family of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, his friends and countless admirers. Om Shanti."
