Asian IT Business Delegation impressed with Gujarat's IT infrastructure

A 28 member IT Business Delegation of Asian Countries had a courtesy meet with Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Impressed with Gujarat’s IT infrastructure, E-Governance and IT intensive policies the delegation showed interest in partnering with the State in IT sector.

The delegation included businessmen from countries like Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar and Vietnam. Meeting the Chief Minister the delegation planned an Indo-Asian IT Business Alliance Meet in Ahmedabad and outlined the plan of organizing Indiasoft: 2011 in Gujarat during next year.

Detailing the State’s IT framework to the delegates Chief Minister talked on IT Infrastructure Network, 65000 km long Optical Fiber Network, 24*7 electricity supply, highest telecommunication density, proactive E-Governance and E-Gram Broadband connectivity facility to all 13693 Gram-Panchayats.

Principal Secretary to Science and Technology Department Shri Ravi Saxena and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri G.C.Murmu were also present in the meet.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
