ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ రోజు సూరత్‌లోని లింబాయత్‌లో ‘సూరత్ సంతృప్త ఆహార భద్రత ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా జాతీయ ఆహార భద్రత చట్టం పరిధిలో అర్హులైన 2.3 లక్షల మందికిపైగా లబ్ధిదారులకు ఆహార ధాన్యాలు సహా వివిధ వస్తువులను ఆయన పంపిణీ చేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా నిర్వహించిన సభలో ప్రజలనుద్దేశించి ప్రసంగిస్తూ- నిరంతర కృషి, దాతృత్వ స్ఫూర్తి బలమైన పునాదిగాగల సూరత్ నగరం విశిష్టతను ప్రధాని కొనియాడారు. సమష్టి మద్దతు, సర్వజన ప్రగతికి నిర్వచనంగా రూపొందిన నగరం స్వభావాన్ని విస్మరించజాలమని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

కేంద్రపాలిత ప్రాంతమైన దాద్రా నగర్ హవేలీ, దామన్ దివేలోని సిల్వస్సాలో రూ.2580 కోట్ల విలువైన వివిధ అభివృద్ధి పనులను ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ రోజు ప్రారంభించారు. అంతకుముందు సిల్వస్సాలో నమో ఆస్పత్రిని కూడా ఆయన ప్రారంభించారు. ఈసందర్భంగా మాట్లాడుతూ, దాద్రా నగర్ హవేలీ, దామన్ దివే కేంద్రపాలిత ప్రాంతంతో అనుసంధానం కావడానికి, సన్నిహితంగా పనిచేయడానికి అవకాశం ఇచ్చినందుకు అక్కడి అంకితభావం కలిగిన కార్మికులకు ధన్యవాదాలు తెలిపారు. అక్కడి ప్రజలతో తనకు ఉన్న సాన్నిహిత్యం, దీర్ఘకాలిక సంబంధాన్ని గుర్తుచేసుకుంటూ, ఈ ప్రాంతంతో తన అనుబంధం దశాబ్దాల నాటిదని తెలిపారు. 2014లో తమ ప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చినప్పటి నుండి ఈ ప్రాంతం సాధించిన పురోగతిని ఆయన ప్రముఖంగా ప్రస్తావించారు. దాద్రా నగర్ హవేలీ, దామన్ దివే సామర్థ్యాన్ని ఆధునికత, పురోగతి దిశగా మార్చిన విధానాన్ని ఆయన వివరించారు.
