In a state cabinet meeting headed by the Chief Minister Narendra Modi today all the cabinet members has decided to give their one month salary allowances in the chief ministers’ relief fund with a view to help the victims of devastating flood in Uttarakhand.
The state government spokespersons Finance Minister Nitinbhai Patel and Energy Minister Saurabhbhai Patel gave details of this humane decision.
Chief Minister Narendra Modi has decided to give an assistance of rupees five lakh on behalf of the Gujarat government to the families of each jawan who sacrificed their lives in air-force helicopter crash during the relief operations in the rain-ravaged areas of Uttarakhand.
Mr. Modi has saluted the military jawans for their exemplary act of sacrificing their lives to save the victims and paid condolence to their bereaved families.
