As per the 11th Five Year Plan , Government has planned to increase the productivity of agriculture bt 4 per cent in the country.
To meet the challenge, a known bio seed company Shriram Bioseed Geneses, a division of DCM Shivam Consolidated has signed MOU worth Rs. 51 crores with the Gujarat Agriculture Department.
The Company has shown interest to implement a project with Gujarat Agriculture Department. The company has come up with the investment of Rs. 51 crores in the field of providing support to as many as 35000 farmers in Gujarat to yield more by way of providing a special kit to farmers. This kit will have Hybreed seed, acquired inputs and extension support through support technical team.
The MOU signed with state Agriculture department aims to enhance the productivity of Bajara, Paddy and Okra, Tomato and water melon. This project will help in increasing food grain production and thus help farmers in augmentation of income.
