Religious leaders greets CM for the decision of abrogating Gujarat Public Trust Act
A group of religious leaders from across the state has welcomed the state 14 government’s decision to abrogate Gujarat Public Trust Act. The group ofsants,
mahants and heads of religious trusts headed by Mahamandaleshwar Bharti Bapu met Chief Minister Narendra Modi today and greeted him for the decision. Minister of State for Law Padipsinh Jadeja, Deputy Chairman of State’s Planning Commission Bhupendrasinhji Chudasama, Chairman of Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham VikasBoard Mahendra Trivedi and Mr. Bharat Pandya was alsopresent on the occasion.
Chief Ministersaid the lawwas passed in assembly only after elaborate discussions and with the consensus of all the political parties. Even though there are people who spreadlies to defame the state government. The state government approach has always been to discuss with all the stake holders before implementing the laws related with the good of people. There was nothing against the good of people in the said law. The state government takes the viewof religious leaders as the view of
panch and so it has decided to abrogate the law.
The religious leaders expressed their determination for giving full support to Mr. Modi who is ever endeavoring for the development of Gujarat.
