தேர்தல் பிரசாரத்தை முடித்துக் கொண்டு பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தமிழகம் கன்னியாகுமரிக்கு பயணம் செய்தார். வந்தவுடன் பகவதி அம்மன் கோவிலில் பூஜை செய்தார். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, விவேகானந்தர் பாறை நினைவிடத்துக்குச் சென்ற அவர், அங்கு தியானத்தில் ஈடுபட்டார்.
