The places of religious interest were forgotten by the previous regime. After BJP's development works, they are now seeing the gods in their dreams: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a virtual Jan Chaupal in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura, Agra & Bulandshahr. PM Modi expressed grief and paid tributes to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and said the veteran singer left a void in our nation that can never be filled.

“Lata Didi has gone to the heavenly abode. Many people had a close connection with her. Wherever you go, you can always find her loved ones. Her melodious voice will always stay with us, I pay tributes to her with a heavy heart,” said PM Modi.

Addressing the virtual rally, PM Modi said, “The people of UP have bluntly said that no matter how much politics some people do on the basis of wealth, muscle power, casteism, communalism, but they cannot get the love of the people. Only those will get the blessings of the people, who will serve the people of UP as Sevak and who will put an effort to develop the state.

Hitting out at opposition, the PM asserted, “In the previous government, the spirits of the criminals were so high that the vehicles were robbed on the highways. It was common then to have illegal possession of houses and shops in Uttar Pradesh. But UP is now safe for girls and women; young women can now step out without fear and pursue their ambitions.”

“Earlier governments had a favorite game. The game of filling the safes. Everyone used to play together. Today the entire game of such people has been spoiled. Earlier, the government meant a single family; for the BJP the entire UP is a family,” he added.

PM Modi listed several welfare schemes like PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana etc that have benefitted people of Uttar Pradesh. He said, “Housing schemes for the poor will be fast tracked under the Yogi Ji government. Under Yogi Ji, 85,000 houses for the poor constructed in Mathura, Agra and Bulandshahr region. Over 7.5 lakh gas connections have also been provided under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Also, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has benefitted small farmers of UP. Also, fishermen and those involved in animal husbandry have benefitted from availing Kisan Credit Card.”

“Today, lakhs of sugarcane farmers are getting all the information related to the filling of forms through the e-Sugarcane app. Now, more and more technological assistance is being used for the farmers of UP to get MSP money. Due to the opening of more procurement centres in the state, new records have been created every year in the procurement of crops,” he added.

PM Modi urged all those voting in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections to vote in large numbers.
