Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a huge public meeting in Mysuru, Karnataka. During his address, PM Modi talked about the achievements of the railway ministry under the NDA government and how a newly laid electric line between Mysuru and Bengaluru will benefit people of the state.

He mentioned that creating a modern and technologically advanced railway system which was vital and the government was strengthening the railway networks across the country.

PM Modi attacked the Congress government for its incapability to complete projects. He said, “Over the years, several schemes were discussed and debated in Parliament but never implemented on ground. When we came to power, we identified them and initiated work on such projects.”

As long as there is Congress government in Karnataka, the state cannot progress, he added furthermore. He alleged that Congress government never worked with the mission for development. “Karnataka does not require 'Commission' government but a 'Mission' government led by the BJP which will ensure all-round progress of the state. Congress has ruined the state and people will teach them a lesson in these elections”, he remarked.

At the event, PM Modi announced a slew of development projects from constructing Bengaluru-Mysuru National Highway to building world-class railway station near Mysuru. He also spoke at length about various initiatives like the Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, electricity and housing for all and how these initiatives were transforming lives of people across the country.

He urged people of the state to elect a BJP Government with full majority in upcoming election.

Several Union Ministers, party leaders and karyakartas were also present at the event.

Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi received a telephone call today from H.E. Mr. Antonio Costa, President of the European Council.

PM congratulated President Costa on his assumption of charge as the President of the European Council.

Noting the substantive progress made in India-EU Strategic Partnership over the past decade, the two leaders agreed to working closely together towards further bolstering the ties, including in the areas of trade, technology, investment, green energy and digital space.

They underlined the need for early conclusion of a mutually beneficial India- EU FTA.

The leaders looked forward to the next India-EU Summit to be held in India at a mutually convenient time.

They exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. The leaders agreed to remain in touch.
