The BJP-led NDA government acts with a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on terrorism and will not shy away from hitting terror at its epicenter if any attack is made against India: PM Modi in Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a major public meeting in Muzaffarpur, Bihar this morning. At the rally, PM Modi reminded the people about the days of lawlessness prevalent in Bihar when the Opposition parties ruled in the state and Centre and said, “Those that destroyed the ethos of this great land are out not to form a government at the Centre, they are rather looking to grab an opportunity to return to power and bring back the lawlessness in Bihar again.”

Asserting that the return of Opposition Congress and its allies in Bihar would wreak havoc to Bihar’s economic and social growth, PM Modi said, “Their return would bring back hooliganism, corruption, illegal mafia and insecurity in the state of Bihar so that they can elect a weak government in Delhi which would be indifferent to the widespread corruption happening in Bihar. This is why, I urge my supporters to vote for the BJP-led NDA so as to keep these anti-social elements in check while the economy of Bihar prospers in the years to come.”

Prime Minister Modi further lashed out at the Congress for its soft approach against terrorism which compromised the national security apparatus of the country prior to 2014 and said that the frequent terror attacks that shook major cities and towns of India happened due to the lax national security policies of the Congress-ruled governments at that time and described how his government has ensured strengthening of counter terror institutions as well as enhancing the capabilities of the country’s security forces. He added that the BJP-led NDA government acts with a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on terrorism and will not shy away from hitting terror at its epicenter if any attack is made against India.

PM Modi visits the Indian Arrival Monument
November 21, 2024

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
