Unlike other parties, we are not in politics for divide and rule or building vote banks: PM Modi
A BJP Karyakarta is not driven by any self-interest. The BJP Karyakarta is only driven by national interest: PM Modi
The first time voter wants development, performance and delivery: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with BJP booth workers from Mayiladuthurai, Perambalur, Sivaganga, Theni and Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu today.

The interaction began with PM Modi differentiating the BJP from other political parties in that it is the only party that does not indulge in the politics of ‘divide-and-rule’ and vote-bank. The BJP, he said, “is here to serve the country in every possible way.” He further added, “On one hand, we have our development agenda and the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ while on the other hand there are opportunist alliances and dynastic parties. They want to build their own empires while we want to empower the people.”

Responding to questions by party Karyakartas on ways to further strengthen the party in the future, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today, if I can confidently say we will do well in the upcoming elections, it is not because of Modi or any other leader but because of the BJP Karyakarta who keeps the party’s flag flying high while reaching out to so many people on the ground.” He also urged the Karyakartas to always keep working and continuously reaching out to different sections of society while also putting forward their points on various issues with humility and accuracy to add greater depth to the party’s organisation.

Prime Minister Modi also spoke at length about his great belief in the strengths and potential of India’s MSME sector, saying, “When it comes to India’s growth story and the role of small industries, small is big. Small industries may seem small but their impact on employment and on bringing people out of poverty, is big.” Elaborating on his government’s initiatives for this promising sector, PM Modi listed out numerous progresses and measures taken to further expand this sector’s capacity and potential ranging from 15 crore plus collateral-free MUDRA loans to 59-minute loan approvals for MSMEs and to the recent decision of raising the GST payment exemption limit for MSMEs from Rs 20 lakh earlier to Rs 40 lakh now. Moreover, he hoped that with these measures, India’s MSME sector will drive India’s economy to newer heights.

Concluding his all-encompassing discussion with workers from Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Modi gave a few advices to the party workers saying, “We are not a coterie-based party but a cadre-based party. Make first time voters your priority. To establish a deeper connect with them, we need to understand them. Our focus has been to intervene at every stage that is essential for the youths to realise their aspirations. From studies to startups and from skills to sports, we have created a huge support system for them.” He further added that the last four years of rule of BJP government has shown that nothing is impossible when 130 crore Indians decide to come together. On that note, PM Modi reiterated the significance of using the Narendra Modi app to keep the party workers updated of the latest developments in the party and the country.
