Gurudev's vision for Visva Bharati is also the essence of self-reliant India: PM Modi

PM Modi addressed centenary celebrations of Visva Bharati University. In his address, PM Modi said, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore called for a ‘swadeshi samaj’. He wanted to see self-reliance in agriculture, commerce and business, art, literature etc. Tagore wanted the entire humanity to benefit from India’s spiritual awakening. The vision for a self-reliant India is also a derivative of this sentiment. The call for a self reliant India is for the world’s benefit too.

Addressing a gathering at Patna University today on its centenary year celebration, PM Narendra Modi said that Bihar was blessed with both 'Gyaan' (knowledge) and 'Ganga'. The PM stressed on innovations in teaching and said, From conventional teaching, our universities need to move towards innovative learning.

பிரதமர் திரு. நரேந்திர மோடி இன்று பாட்னா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் நூற்றாண்டு விழாவில் பங்கேற்று உரையாற்றினார். பாட்னா பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு வருகை தருவதும் மாணவர்களடையில் இருப்பதும் தனக்குக் கவுரவம் அளிப்பதாகப் பிரதமர் கூறினார். “இந்த பீகார் மண்ணுக்குத் தலை வணங்குகிறேன். இந்நாட்டுக்கு மிகப் பெரிய அளவில் பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ள மாணவர்களை இந்தப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் வளர்த்திருக்கிறது” என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.
