எனதருமை நாட்டுமக்களே, வணக்கம். இன்று உங்களோடு மனதின் குரலில் நான் கலந்து கொள்ளும் வேளையிலே, மனதிலே ஆழமான துக்கம் உறைகிறது. ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 22ஆ ம் தேதியன்று பஹல்காவிலே கட்டவிழ்த்து விடப்பட்ட தீவிரவாதத் தாக்குதல், தேசத்தின் அனைத்துக் குடிமக்களையும் துக்கத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியிருக்கிறது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பத்தாரோடு, அனைத்து இந்தியர்களுமே மனங்களில் ஆழமான துயரத்தை அனுபவிக்கிறார்கள். படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் எந்த மாநிலத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக இருந்தாலும், எந்த மொழி பேசுபவராக இருந்தாலும், இந்த பயங்கரவாதத்தில் தங்கள் சுற்றத்தாரைப் பறிகொடுத்தவர்களின் வலியை அனைவரும் உணர்கிறார்கள். இந்த பயங்கரவாதத் தாக்குதல் பற்றிய படங்களைப் பார்க்கும் போது தேசத்தவர் அனைவரின் ரத்தமும் கொதிப்பதை என்னால் உணர முடிகிறது. பஹல்காவில் கட்டவிழ்த்து விடப்பட்ட இந்தத் தாக்குதல், தீவிரவாதத்தின் புரவலர்களின் கையறு நிலையைக் காட்டுகிறது, அவர்களின் கோழைத்தன்மையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. கஷ்மீரத்திலே அமைதி திரும்பிக் கொண்டிருந்த வேளையிலே, பள்ளிகள்-கல்லூரிகளில் ஓர் உயிர்ப்பு துளிர்த்த நேரத்திலே, கட்டமைப்புப் பணிகள் வரலாறுகாணா வேகம் எடுத்த போதினிலே, ஜனநாயகம் வேரூன்றத் தொடங்கிய காலத்திலே, சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை இதுவரைகாணா அதிகரிப்பை காணும் வேளையிலே, மக்களின் வருவாய் பெருகிவந்த நேரத்திலே, இளைஞர்களுக்கு புதிய சந்தர்ப்பங்கள் உருவாகிக் கொண்டிருந்தன. தேசத்தின் எதிரிகளுக்கு, ஜம்மு-கஷ்மீரின் எதிரிகளுக்கு, இது முற்றிலும் பிடிக்கவில்லை. மாறாக, தீவிரவாதிகள் மற்றும் தீவிரவாதிகளின் காரணகர்த்தர்கள் கஷ்மீரத்தை அழிக்கத் துடித்தார்கள், ஆகையால் தான் இத்தனை பெரிய சூழ்ச்சிவலையைப் பின்னினார்கள். தீவிரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான இந்த யுத்தத்தில், தேசத்தின் ஒற்றுமை, 140 கோடி பாரத நாட்டவரின் ஒருமைப்பாடு ஆகியன தான் நம்முடைய மிகப்பெரிய பலமாக விளங்குகிறது. இந்த ஒற்றுமை, தீவிரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான நம்முடைய தீர்மானமான போரின் ஆதாரம். தேசத்தின் முன்பாக எழுந்திருக்கும் இந்த சவாலை எதிர்கொள்ள, நமது உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் பலப்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஒரு தேசம் என்ற முறையில் நாம் நமது உளவுறுதியை வெளிப்படுத்த வேண்டும். இந்த தீவிரவாதத் தாக்குதலுக்குப் பிறகு எவ்வாறு தேசம் முழுவதும் ஒரே குரலெடுத்துப் பேசுகிறது என்பதை உலகனைத்தும் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
