Public meetings to be held in Ahmedabad, Surat,
Vadodara and Rajkot
Trust him to do the unimaginable and that too in his unique style- now, you can see Shri Modi addressing a public meeting in 3D! Come Sunday 18th November 2012 Shri Modi will address public meetings in 4 different cities across Gujarat using 3D Projection Technology.4 public meetings have been organized “at-a-time” across the 4 major cities of Gujarat- Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot and Shri Modi can be viewed in 3D format simultaneously in all 4 cities. In terms of political scenario this will be the very first attempt ever made by any political leader to address the massive gathering using such an advanced technology. The state-of-art technology used offers the audience/viewers a feel that the person is real and even enables them to interact with the projected ‘virtual’ person as if interacting with ‘Actual person’, eliminating the need of wearing 3D glasses. After this, the 3D Projection technology will be replicated across other cities.
The announcement was made by BJP National Vice President Shri Purushottam Rupala in the presence of Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Shri Arun Jaitley. Shri Jaitley said that this is the first time such technology is being used in the Indian political arena.

With this innovative usage of technology to reach out to the people, Shri Modi has yet again demonstrated that when it comes to innovation and application of latest technology in any sphere be it Government or Political, Shri Modi is miles ahead of others.
During the 2007 Gujarat Vidhan Sabha elections, the Modi Masks captured the imagination of the people, especially the youth of Gujarat. This was a path-breaking endeavor to connect with the people.
In August 2012, Shri Modi held a Google+ Hangout in which he interacted with the people spread across all parts of the world. The Hangout was moderated by noted actor Mr. Ajay Devgn. This was for the first time that any Indian politician chose to connect with people in this way and it was a roaring success- Shri Modi’s Hangout was viewed across 116 nations and the day of the Hangout saw record 1,66,000 clicks on Shri Modi’s website. More than 70,000 Tweets poured in as the Hangout was underway and ‘#ModiHangout’ was trending on Twitter during the entire day of the Hangout! It was unanimously agreed that Shri Modi’s Hangout not only breached barriers of communication but also changed terms of political discourse.
Shri Modi views technology as ‘Easy, Effective and Economic’ and has wonderfully incorporated it in the sphere of governance for which he has received several awards and accolades.
In November 2011 the Computer Society of India conferred Shri Modi with the E-Ratna Award for his contribution in the field of E-Governance. Furthermore, the ICT initiatives of the Chief Minister’s Office won the ‘Award of Excellence- Departmental Level’ at the CSI Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2011. The e-Gov strategies and ICT enabled initiatives at the CMO were awarded the ‘Best Government to Citizen Initiative of the Year Award’ at the eIndia Summit held late last year.
Gujarat Government’s initiatives such as E-Gram Vishwa Gram, SWAGAT and eMPOWER indicate how much importance Shri Modi has always given to the usage of technology in the last decade. Infact, application of the latest technology has been a key reason why Gujarat has scaled newer heights of development in the last decade under Shri Modi’s leadership.
