Shri Narendra Modi paid rich tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti. Shri Modi said that Shivaji Maharaj was not only a brave warrior but also a torchbearer of good governance whose economic and trade policies have inspired us till date. He further added that Shivaji Maharaj’s policies benefitted people of all castes and religions, and that he fought for the pride of India, not to grab power.
