Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the world famous Statue of Unity, at Kevadiya, Gujarat, on the occasion of Sardar Patel’s Birth Anniversary today.

The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Run for Unity is organised all over the country in a spirit of achieving the goal – Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Prime Minister said, “Tributes to Sardar Patel on his Jayanti. His contribution to our nation is monumental”

“He was the stalwart who unified India. A leader of farmers, a great administrator and uncompromising when it came to safeguarding rights of the poor, India will always remember Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution.”

Prime Minister also administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge at Kevadiya.
