PM lauds 75 lakh Surya Namaskar Challenge

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of staying fit and has praised the 75 lakh Surya Namaskar Challenge.

Responding to Sports Authority of India tweet on 75 lakh Surya Namaskar Challenge with India's Elite Athletes today, the Prime Minister tweeted :

"The ongoing global pandemic has reaffirmed the importance of keeping fit and boosting immunity. This is a great effort to do so.

At the same time, I again appeal to you all to follow all COVID-19 related protocols, wear masks and get vaccinated if eligible"

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today hailed Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Ji as a towering personality who devoted his life to making India free and ensuring a life of dignity and equality for every Indian. Paying homage on his 125th birth anniversary, Shri Modi reiterated the Government’s commitment to fulfilling Dr. Mahtab’s ideals.

Responding to a post on X by the President of India, he wrote:

“Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Ji was a towering personality who devoted his life to making India free and ensuring a life of dignity and equality for every Indian. His contribution towards Odisha's development is particularly noteworthy. He was also a prolific thinker and intellectual.
