PM greets on Chattisgarh Statehood Day

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has extended his warm greetings to the people of Chattisgarh on the day of formation of the State.

The Prime Minister said that vibrancy of its people make Chattisgarh a special state. "Our tribal communities have a very important contribution in enriching the culture of the state. The glorious tradition and cultural heritage of the state attracts everyone. I wish for a bright future for Chhattisgarh, full of natural and cultural splendor", he added.

The Prime Minister posted on X :

"छत्तीसगढ़ के अपने सभी भाइयों और बहनों को राज्य के स्थापना दिवस की ढेरों शुभकामनाएं। यहां के लोगों की जीवंतता इसे एक विशेष राज्य बनाती है। इस राज्य की संस्कृति को समृद्ध बनाने में हमारे आदिवासी समुदायों का बहुत ही अहम योगदान है। प्रदेश की गौरवशाली परंपरा और सांस्कृतिक विरासत हर किसी को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करती है। मैं प्राकृतिक और सांस्कृतिक वैभव से परिपूर्ण छत्तीसगढ़ के उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना करता हूं।"

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
