The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today attended the function to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the High Court of Delhi.

He paid tribute to the contribution of all those who have been associated with the High Court of Delhi, over the last five decades. In this context, he said that all concerned must fulfil, in accordance with the Constitution of India, whatever responsibilities have been assigned to them.

Noting that 31st October also marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the Prime Minister said that Sardar Patel was a lawyer, who devoted his life to serving the nation. He recalled the contributions of Sardar Patel, including the creation of the All India Civil Services.

The Prime Minister complimented the legal fraternity for giving strength to Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms. Mentioning emerging challenges before the judiciary, he called for the preparation of a roadmap for the future.
