PM Modi congratulates HE U Win Myint on his election as President of Myanmar

PM Modi today congratulated HE U Win Myint on his election as President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. In a tweet, the PM said, “Warmest congratulations and good wishes to His Excellency U Win Myint on his election as President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Look forward to working with him on strengthening India-Myanmar relations.”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“सुवर्ण-रौप्य-माणिक्य-वसनैरपि पूरिताः।

तथापि प्रार्थयन्त्येव कृषकान् भक्ततृष्णया।।”

The Subhashitam conveys that even when possessing gold, silver, rubies, and fine clothes, people still have to depend on farmers for food.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“सुवर्ण-रौप्य-माणिक्य-वसनैरपि पूरिताः।

तथापि प्रार्थयन्त्येव कृषकान् भक्ततृष्णया।।"
