Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on Saturday, January 31st, 2015, campaigned for Delhi elections and urged the people to give the BJP a complete majority in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha Elections. Shri Modi introduced the candidates and referring to Dr. Kiran Bedi noted, “This time Krishnanagar will give the new CM of Delhi.”

The Prime Minister said that the Delhi Assembly elections were not only about the next CM or local MLA but about the kind of image India would have in front of the world. Stressing on the fact that the BJP assures a Government that is dedicated to resolving all the problems that people of Delhi have been facing for the past fifteen years, Shri Modi said, “I have not come here to occupy any chair. I am here to serve you and walk shoulder to shoulder with you.”

The Prime Minister insisted on to elect a government that would bring positive transformation in the lives of citizens of Delhi. Referring to the other parties, the PM said that people can’t be misled forever. Shri Modi said, “If there is a world record for losing deposits is maximum seats, you know who it is & then also they mislead people.”

Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the need of a steady government in Delhi. “Delhi needs a stable government. Kiran ji knows Delhi well. She has administrative experience. She will take Delhi to new heights,” said the PM. Shri Modi also noted that in the past, there had been disagreements between the Congress government in both Haryana and Delhi as a result of which there had been water crisis in Delhi. The PM also said that as soon as BJP government came to power in Haryana, the problem was resolved.

Shri Modi also made it clear that BJP government always stands with the poor. “I made it clear on Day 1- ours is a Government for the poor and dedicated to the poor,” said the Prime Minister. Shri Narendra Modi also expressed hope to replace the slums of Delhi with cemented houses by the 75th year of independence. He also remarked that Yamuna could become the pride of Delhi.

Party president Shri Amit Shah, several BJP leaders and Delhi CM nominee Dr. Kiran Bedi, Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Shri Mahesh Sharma were also present on the occasion.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November.
