Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed two major public meetings in Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar in Telangana. The rallies saw PM Modi thanking the BJP supporters across all the election-bound states for their faith and support for his government.

At his first stop in Nizamabad, PM Modi lashed out at K Chandrashekhar Rao, who stepped down as the Chief Minister, saying, “The Chief Minister of this state is walking on the Congress’ path. He thinks that if the Congress can win elections without doing anything, he can do it too! But he must know that the youth of Telangana is aware of the realities on the ground.”

He further criticized the TRS government for not implementing the transformative Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Telangana for purely political reasons. He said, “We launched the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to ensure quality and affordable healthcare to the poor people. But the CM of this state showed absolutely no interest in it and refused from implementing this scheme just because it was launched by the central government.” He also took on the Congress for widespread corruption in the country and said, “Through ‘telephone-banking’ Congress got loans cleared for the cronies.”

Addressing his second rally in Mahabubnagar, PM Modi was again highly critical of the state government and said that the ruling party in Telangana is just like the Congress party as both these parties and their leaders back dynasty-politics, casteism and the politics of vote-bank.

He further added, “The TRS government ruined Telangana. The reason is simple - their apprenticeship under the Chandrababu Naidu government, when the state was a part of Andhra Pradesh and the UPA government.”

At this occasion, he also described how the Congress-led division of Andhra Pradesh ended up in suffering and troubles for both Andhra and Telangana. He contrasted this with the division of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar led by former PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said, “When Atal Ji divided three states, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, six states were created in total and see how they are all rapidly progressing today.”

The rally concluded with Prime Minister Modi urging his supporters in Telangana to vote in huge numbers for the BJP in the upcoming elections and ensure rapid development of their state just like the other BJP-led states have witnessed.
