PM congratulates India's Open Water Swimmer Bhakti Sharma at setting world record

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has lauded India`s Open Water Swimmer Bhakti Sharma for her accomplishment of setting a world record, by swimming 1.4 miles in 52 minutes across the waters of Antarctic Ocean, at a temperature of one degree Celsius. Bhakti Sharma is now the world’s youngest and Asia’s first girl to achieve this feat. Bhakti has now conquered all the five oceans of the world.

“We are all very very proud of Bhakti Sharma for her accomplishments! My best wishes to her”, the Prime Minister said.
