Under the aegis of Vibrant Gujarat 2011 Summit, the Government of Gujarat, in association with Confederation of Indian Industry’s Young Indians (Yi) will be organising the Young Entrepreneurs’ (Ye) Meet in Ahmedabad on 10th January, 2011.
Supported by Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXTb), the meet with the theme ‘Enterprising Gujarat – 2020 The Way Forward’ will be attended by a large number of entrepreneurs who have their start-up in Gujarat as wells as in other Indian states. At the end of the meet, the Government of Gujarat is expected to sign a number of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU’s) with various entrepreneurs’, start-up companies, institutions in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi.
The meet aims to bring young leaders from across the country to come forward and share their experience and vision so as to transform Gujarat into a magnet for innovation and ideas in a changing world.
A key element of this is the Government of Gujarat’s endeavour to lead Gujarat’s emergence into a global manufacturing hub to achieve technological, financial and socio leadership by 2020 and the 4 panel discussions which are a part of the meet are intended as brainstorming sessions to implement some of these ideas. In particular, the state seeks to emerge as a future leader in clean energy-based generation and carbon emission reduction as well as in Information Technology and Biotechnology.
The meet will explore the role of the public and private sector in providing better urban infrastructure, social security and living conditions and to explore ways for the state to emerge as the preferred place to live in and do business by 2020 and the role of young entrepreneurs in meeting these challenges.
