On Saturday 7th September 2013 Shri Narendra Modi will travel to Ambikapur (Surguja district), Chhattisgarh to address a massive public meeting as a part of the Vikas Yatra undertaken by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. The programme will commence 2:30 PM onwards.

The Vikas Yatra commenced on 6th May 2013 in the august presence of former Deputy Prime Minister of India Shri LK Advani. In the scorching summer, Dr. Raman Singh toured the length and breadth of Chhattisgarh and spread the message of good governance in Chhattisgarh in the last decade. The Yatra has been held in seven phases and has covered almost 6000 kms across the entire state. 89 ‘Aam Sabhas’ and 109 ‘Swagat Sabhas’ were held and over 6200 development works to the tune of Rs. 6700 crore either had their foundation stone laid or were dedicated to the people. The Yatra gave a wonderful glimpse of the development that has taken place under the leadership of Dr. Raman Singh.
Earlier, on 18th May 2013 Shri Modi has addressed a public meeting that was a part of the Vikas Yatra. The meeting was held in Rajnandgaon, which is the constituency of Dr. Raman Singh. He had praised the progress undertaken in Chhattisgarh under Dr. Raman Singh. Shri Modi had also visited Chhattisgarh on 5th November 2012 to attend Chhattisgarh’s Rajyotsava celebrations in Naya Raipur.
