PM to inaugurate PETROTECH - 2019 on February 11, 2019

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the PETROTECH - 2019 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 11th February 2019.

He will also address the inaugural session of the event. 

PETROTECH - 2019 is considered to be India’s flagship hydrocarbon conference. PETROTECH-2019, the 13th International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition is being organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.

The three-day mega event, from 10 to 12 February 2019, will showcase the recent market and investor friendly developments in India’s oil and gas sector. Over 95 Energy Ministers from partner countries and 7000 delegates from around 70 countries are expected to be part of PETROTECH -2019.

Along with the Conference, the event will have a concurrent exhibition spread over 20,000 square meters at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The PETROTECH-2019 Exhibition will have over 13 country pavilions and around 750 exhibitors from over 40 countries, with exclusive areas on the Make in India and Renewable Energy theme.

PM has in the past inaugurated the 12 the edition of PETROTECH-2016on 5 December 2016.

Hesaid that “My vision for India’s energy future has four pillars:

Energy access, Energy efficiency, Energy sustainability &Energy security. ”

PM also invited the global hydrocarbon companies to come and Make in India and assured them that our motto is to replace Red Tape with Red Carpet.”

PM Modi visits the Indian Arrival Monument

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
