Interacting with the BJP Karyakartas in Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi appreciated them for their efforts to strengthen the Party across length and breadth of India. He said that it was due to the hardwork of the Party Karyakartas that the entire nation was supporting the BJP and saying ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar.’
Shri Modi said that the success of the Party was not only due to the coverage it got in newspapers or television but because of the numerous hardworking Karyakartas who strive hard so that the Party emerges as victorious. Speaking in context of Varanasi, he further added that the ongoing elections had two aspects – one, to win the Kashi Lok Sabha seat and second, to win every polling booth in Kashi.
Shri Modi said that was the responsibility of every Karyakarta to be cordial and friendly with the opponents too. “We might accuse our opponents at a public rally or in the media, but it is our duty to respect them. They are not enemies. There should be no bitterness”, he added further.
Shri Modi also said that it was time to create benchmarks and set records in Varanasi. “Democracy must win. We have to ensure that there is record voting and all previous records of polls in Uttar Pradesh are broken. This should set an example for the whole world”, he said.
Encouraging the women voters, Shri Modi said, “There must be at least 5% more women voters than men at every polling booth. I request all the Karyakartas to encourage more and more women voters to turn out in large numbers and vote.”
Concluding the interaction, PM Modi said, “Election is festival of democracy. We should not waste time by thinking of defeating our opponents. But our efforts must be to win people’s hearts. Once that is done, the Party will win and the country too will win.”
