The water over which Haryana's farmers have the right will not flow to Pakistan: PM Modi in Ellenabad
Talking about Article 370, which gave J&K its special status, the PM says, what was called temporary in Babasaheb's constitution lasted for 70 years

Addressing at a public rally in Ellenabad, PM Modi said, "Sirsa is home to exceptional and warm-hearted people. It’s an honour to serve them." The PM said, "Our government has decided that the new national highway built from Kapurthala to Govindwal Sahib near Taran Taran will now be known as Guru Nanak Dev Ji Marg."

Talking about the Kartarpur Corridor, PM Modi asserted, “The BJP, the NDA government has got lucky one more time. The distance between our Guru Nanak Dev Ji's holy place, Kartarpur Sahib and all of us is now ending. In 1947, those who were responsible for drawing the dividing line did not think that the devotees should not be separated from the Guru by a distance of only 4 kilometers. Even after this, should the Congress government not have tried to erase this distance in 70 years."

“The Kartarpur corridor is almost complete now. This opportunity has come 7 decades after independence, 70 years went by. What can be a bigger misfortune than this that we had to see a holy place from afar, through a pair of binoculars,” he added furthermore.

Raising the issue of Article 370, which gave Jammu and Kashmir its special status, the PM said, "What was called temporary in Baba Ambedkar's constitution lasted for 70 years."

Sending a strong message to the neighbour country, Prime Minister Modi said, “The water over which Haryana's farmers have the right will not flow to Pakistan. It will get diverted to the northern state as it belongs to India.” Also, PM Modi said that his government would invest Rs 3.5 lakh crore in 5 years to cater to the need of water for drinking and irrigation purposes.

Raising the issue of farmers, PM Modi remarked, “There has been a vast improvement in irrigation facilities in Haryana. But in the coming 5 years, we have to make Haryana drought free and water surplus state. The BJP government is engaged in strengthening the agriculture and farming economy. We have set out to prove the resolve to double farmers' income by the year 2022.”

PM Modi urged voters in Haryana to reelect his Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming assembly elections as he promised to take the state to the path of development. Several BJP leaders and karyakartas were present in the event.

PM to distribute over 50 lakh property cards to property owners under SVAMITVA Scheme
December 26, 2024
Drone survey already completed in 92% of targeted villages
Around 2.2 crore property cards prepared

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute over 50 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA Scheme to property owners in over 46,000 villages in 200 districts across 10 States and 2 Union territories on 27th December at around 12:30 PM through video conferencing.

SVAMITVA scheme was launched by Prime Minister with a vision to enhance the economic progress of rural India by providing ‘Record of Rights’ to households possessing houses in inhabited areas in villages through the latest surveying drone technology.

The scheme also helps facilitate monetization of properties and enabling institutional credit through bank loans; reducing property-related disputes; facilitating better assessment of properties and property tax in rural areas and enabling comprehensive village-level planning.

Drone survey has been completed in over 3.1 lakh villages, which covers 92% of the targeted villages. So far, around 2.2 crore property cards have been prepared for nearly 1.5 lakh villages.

The scheme has reached full saturation in Tripura, Goa, Uttarakhand and Haryana. Drone survey has been completed in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh and also in several Union Territories.
